His Holiness has received numerous precious and
profound teachings, empowerments, blessings, oral
transmissions and pith instructions from many great
gurus and always feels indebted to his masters.

a source of wisdom and empowerment for many thousands
of followers. His education amply prepared him for
this role. As a result, he has reached a superior level of
practice and has the ability to explain, with consummate
skill, the subtle and profound teachings in language which
is easily understood by students of different levels. He
embodies the authentic teachings of the Lord Buddha and
his instructions are like a beacon, guiding beings out of
the darkness of samsara.
Having received initiations from the four major schools of
Tibetan Buddhism, His Holiness is able to give
empowerments in all traditions. In this way, he enriches
all the schools and takes his place as a great nonsectarian
lama.
His Holiness transmits these teachings and
empowerments for the benefit of all beings. The major
cycles bestowed by His Holiness are the precious Lamdre,
the Collection of Tantras (Gyüde Kündü) and the
Collection of Sadhanas (Drubtab Kündü). The precious
Lamdre is the most sacred teaching in the Sakya tradition.
It is unique in giving pith instructions on the complete
path from the beginning to the state of
Buddhahood.

and is a constant source of wisdom and compassion
