Dear friends,
Fundación Sakya is extremely pleased to announce that
His Holiness Sakya Trizin will be bestowing Hevajra empowerments and instructions specially to Lamdre
1 students who are planning to do the Hevajra retreat.
While the programme was originally intended for students who have
received Lamdre,
through the Foundation's request, His Holiness has consented to bestow
the Hevajra Cause and Path Empowerment as part of this programme to old
and new students who are committed to the practice of Hevajra
2 so that this precious opportunity could be available to them as well.
Please note, however, that only students who have received the full
Lamdre will be able to perform the traditional Hevajra retreat. This
retreat is planned to start right after His Holiness' teachings, so that
the warmth of His Holiness' blessings is carried through unbroken into
the retreat, all samayas are renewed, which is important for the conduct
of the retreat, as well as reparation of any breakage of samaya in our
daily practice.
For students who are unable to complete the full Hevajra retreat, a
shorter Hevajra Session is available to all students who have received
the Hevajra Cause and Path Empowerment.

give Hevajra instructions to retreatants. Hevajra is very important to the
Sakyapa tradition. If you are a true Sakyapa practitioner, you should do the
Hevajra retreat. This is a wonderful and precious opportunity. I would
encourage all my students to attend.
